Do I need a pilot certificate to get started?
You can start with an introductory discovery lesson with an independent CFI. Solo rental requires appropriate qualifications, approvals and checkout.
Are instructors independent?
Yes. Bolt provides aircraft access. Independent FAA-certificated CFIs provide instruction and coordinate a training plan with you.
How much does aircraft rental cost?
Discovery Flight — $230 base price. The external checkout currently identifies MB Airworks LLC and displays an additional 3% credit-card service fee; review the final amount before payment. Aircraft rental rates remain subject to confirmation of wet or dry pricing, fuel terms, taxes, checkout and instruction charges.
Can I bring my own instructor?
Discuss your independent CFI and planned training before scheduling. Aircraft and instructor access are subject to the operator’s requirements.
How do I schedule a flight?
Use Flight Circle for scheduling. Aircraft availability and independent CFI availability must both be coordinated.
What changes for existing MB Airworks renters?
The official transition of customer-facing aircraft rental operations from MB Airworks LLC to Bolt Aviation LLC takes effect November 1, 2026. Bolt rentals require a new rental agreement with Bolt Aviation LLC. The two LLCs are separate legal entities.
