At Bolt Aviation LLC ("Bolt Aviation," "we," "our," or "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information obtained through our website, inquiries, and related online services.

This policy applies to flyatbolt.com and our related online inquiries. Separate notices and agreements may apply to aircraft rental records, instructor services, or transactions on third-party platforms. This policy does not replace those notices.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you contact us, request an appointment, or ask about aircraft rental, independent flight instruction, or a discovery flight. Depending on your interaction, this may include:

  • Your name, email address, and telephone number.
  • Your reason for an appointment, preferred date and time, and scheduling preferences.
  • Your aircraft rental or flight-training inquiry and information you voluntarily include in a message.
  • Booking, scheduling, or transaction details made available to us by authorized service providers, when relevant to a service you request.

The appointment form requires a name, email address, and reason for the visit; a telephone number, preferred date and time, and message are optional. Please provide only general inquiry details. Do not submit payment-card information, identification documents, medical information, or other sensitive records through the appointment form.

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, device characteristics, referring pages, and usage or security logs. The information available depends on the provider and enabled services. We do not receive your complete payment-card number or security code through the website appointment form. Payment information entered on an external checkout is handled through that platform and its payment providers.

How we use information

We use relevant information for legitimate business purposes, including to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Coordinate requested appointments, aircraft visits, and scheduling.
  • Facilitate rental requests and communications about independent instruction or discovery flights.
  • Communicate about the services you request and associated arrangements.
  • Maintain website functionality and security, troubleshoot problems, and prevent misuse or fraud.
  • Meet applicable legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping obligations.

If we offer optional marketing communications, we will use information for that purpose only where permitted by law and with any required consent. Providing a phone number in an appointment request does not enroll you in marketing texts. You may ask us to stop optional marketing communications using the instructions provided or by contacting us.

Service providers and external platforms

We use service providers in operating the website and business. Their involvement depends on the features you use:

  • Netlify: hosts the website and stores appointment requests submitted through Netlify Forms. Appointment notifications are sent to our business email. Access to submission records depends on the permissions assigned within the relevant service accounts.
  • Google Workspace: processes our business email, inquiry correspondence, and appointment notifications. Those communications may be retained in business mailboxes and other authorized business records, subject to applicable access controls and retention requirements.
  • Flight Circle: provides the external aircraft scheduling portal and linked checkout experience. Information you enter there is provided to Flight Circle and may be available to the associated aviation organization and the merchant identified for your transaction, according to their account permissions and applicable notices. Their handling of that information is governed by their own obligations and policies.
  • Payment providers: and the merchant identified at checkout handle payment and billing information entered on the external payment page. Bolt Aviation may receive transaction or confirmation details only where lawfully authorized and relevant to the requested service. Our appointment form does not collect payment-card details.
  • Google Maps: supplies embedded location maps and external directions. Loading an embedded map or following a directions link connects your browser to Google.
  • Cloudflare: provides domain name resolution (DNS) and related domain infrastructure. If Cloudflare website delivery or security services are used, it may also process technical request information for those services.

We disclose appropriate information to providers as reasonably needed for their services. A provider may also process information independently under its own terms and privacy policy, particularly when you visit its website, sign in, use a map, or make a payment. Please review the notices presented by those services. Provider policies include Netlify's privacy policy, Google's privacy policy, and Cloudflare's privacy policy. Review Flight Circle's privacy policy and terms and the applicable merchant and payment provider notices before providing information or paying. Provider notices describe those providers' practices and do not expand our authority to obtain or use your information.

Cookies and technical information

Bolt Aviation does not currently place its own advertising pixels or browser-based audience-analytics trackers on this website. Hosting, security, embedded Google Maps, and external scheduling or payment services may nevertheless use cookies, similar technologies, authentication information, or technical logs under their own policies. This policy does not represent that visiting the website or using a linked service involves no tracking technologies.

Your browser settings may let you block or delete cookies and control related technologies. Restrictions can affect maps, sign-in, checkout, or other third-party features. You may contact us by phone or email if you prefer not to use an embedded or external service. We will update this policy if our own use of analytics or marketing technologies changes.

When we share information

In addition to the providers described above, we may disclose information as reasonably necessary to professional advisers supporting our business, to comply with applicable law or lawful requests, to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect people, property, and the security of our services. If you ask us to coordinate with an independent instructor, we may share relevant inquiry and scheduling information for that purpose; the instructor's own records and practices may be governed separately.

We do not sell or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent records with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing purposes. Providers assisting with authorized communications may process that information to perform their services, subject to applicable restrictions.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including responding to inquiries, maintaining relevant service records, resolving disputes, and meeting applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. The appropriate period depends on the type of record, our relationship with you, and applicable obligations. Information may also remain in restricted backups or provider records for an applicable retention period. Removing a form submission does not necessarily remove a corresponding email notification, transaction record, backup, or independently maintained provider record. We address applicable requests for records under our control, subject to lawful retention needs and the limits described below.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and our business, including the access controls and protected connections available through our service providers. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information through ordinary inquiry forms or email without first arranging an appropriate method with us.

Your requests and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of applicable personal information by emailing fly@flyatbolt.com. Describe your request and how we can contact you; do not include sensitive identification documents in your initial message. We may reasonably verify your identity and authority before acting.

Bolt Aviation is responsible for addressing applicable requests concerning information under its control, subject to applicable law, the rights of others, and legitimate legal and recordkeeping needs. Where appropriate, we will coordinate with service providers processing that information for us. Information independently controlled by another business or platform may require a request to that party; we will identify the appropriate contact where reasonably known. Some information may need to be retained. This policy does not limit rights available under applicable law or promise statutory rights in jurisdictions where they do not apply.

Children

The website is not directed to children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should make inquiries on behalf of a younger child and avoid submitting the child's personal information unnecessarily. If you believe information about a child under 13 has been submitted without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address the matter as applicable law requires. Participation in any aviation activity is subject to separate eligibility and guardian requirements.

Policy updates

We may revise this policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy and its effective date on this page and provide additional notice when required by law.
